Import email address data into Outlook 2011 for Mac OS
This article describes how to import a copy of your email address data from Outlook 2011 for Mac OS.
Simply search for Outlook, and download and install the app. Outlook email is already supported on Windows phones, and just needs to be configured in email settings. Microsoft provides installation instructions, available below. When installing the Outlook app. Your laptop is running Outlook for Mac. You connect to your same email account on Exchange. The email messages that you sent and received earlier will be synchronized to Outlook for Mac and stored in the local database. The email addresses from these messages are added to the Recent Addresses database on your Mac laptop.

Import email address data
- In Outlook 2011, click File > Import in the top navigation bar.
- In the Choose a File Type window, select Outlook for Mac Data File(.olm). Then click the right arrow in the lower-right corner to continue.
- In the Begin Import window, select Outlook for Data File(.pst or .olm). Then click the right arrow in the lower-right corner to continue.
- Choose the .olm file that you want to import into Outlook.
- The Import Complete window displays the message Outlook has finished importing your data.. Click Done.
You have imported a copy of your email address data into Outlook 2011 for Mac. It could take several minutes to several hours to import, depending on the size of the importing file.
